Patriotic Home Decor with a Vintage Style Tiered Tray
Celebrate the red, white and blue with a tiered tray filled with vintage and Dollar Tree items. It’s a fun, easy and budget friendly way to create unique patriotic home decor!
The beginning of summer brings three patriotic holidays in a row…Memorial Day, Flag Day and the 4th of July. I designed a cute patriotic vignette in my tiered tray to celebrate these holidays!
I’ve joined some of my talented blogger friends for a 4th of July Blog Hop. If you’re stopping by after a visit with my friend Sonya from Sonya Burgess, welcome! I just loved the patriotic tablecloth she made. Links to all 12 of the participants is at the end of this post 🙂
If you follow my blog, you know that I love to incorporate vintage items into my decor. I usually start decorating by going through my collections to find objects that fit my theme.
I was really inspired by this vintage red, white and blue box of chalk.
I also had a set of mini pool balls, and I love how the red, white and blue ones add to my vintage look.
I used this set of vintage red salt and pepper shakers and an old bottle opener in my Patriotic Tablescape Inspired by Vintage Enamelware. I love how it gives a nod to picnics in my patriotic tiered tray!
This blue and white Wedgwood trinket box brings in another pop of blue.
A white ironstone pitcher provides height and fills in space.
I couldn’t resist adding this blue willow shaker!
These mini porcelain shoe planters keep the pool balls from rolling around.
On the top tier, I added a white painted wooden star. I previously used this on the centerpiece box from my Rustic Americana Patriotic Tablescape.
A tiny candlestick and an old bell add visual interest.
Here’s how I styled the bottom tier.
I went to Dollar Tree in search of some red, white and blue accent pieces. I bought a stem of white flowers, some mini chalkboard signs, and glittered red, white and blue table scatters. I already had the mini American flags in my stash.
I trimmed the flower stems and put them in white washed clay pots filled with sand.
Then I wrote “July 4th” on a chalkboard sign and poked it into the flower pot. You can easily change the signs for different holidays!
I put the tallest items in the back of the top tier.
Then I added a few more items, including this adorable vintage boy figurine and a white candle.
I filled in the bare spots with the table scatters, and added a few American flags. And that’s it!
I really love my one of a kind vintage inspired patriotic home decor!

Rebecca, so cute. I love all the vintage additions, the billiard balls, chalk and the little porcelain chubby especially! That little guy has a perfect amount of faded color. 😉
I am so jealous of all your vintage finds! Love that chalk box. Thanks for sharing
I love tiered trays and this is one of my favorites. The vintage items look wonderful.
Love all these vintage touches for your patriotic tray.
I think I have the same ironstone pitcher you used.
You can enjoy this all summer long.
Ahhh, my vintage loving heart just flip-flopped when I saw all the amazing items on your tiered tray! Last year, I was decorating mine for every single season and holiday, and this year I’ve sort of lost interest. You’ve ignited the flame again, and I just may drag mine out!
Thanks for the inspiration! I’ve pinned to my July 4th Decor board!
