Rustic Americana Patriotic Tablescape and a Blog Hop!

With the 4th of July right around the corner, it’s time to get out the patriotic decor! Today I’m joining 21 of my talented blogger friends for the annual Patriotic Tablescape Blog Hop, hosted by Chloe from Celebrate and Decorate and Andrea from Design Morsels. Thank you, ladies! This year, I chose a Rustic Americana Patriotic Tablescape theme.

If you’re coming over from Belle Bleu Interiors, welcome! Wasn’t Shannon’s outdoor tablescape on her deck just lovely? I was swooning over her blue and white china!

tea stained American flag

The inspiration for my table came from these tea stained American flags that I had in my stash. They were actually part of a banner that I bought at a craft show years ago. Instead, I’m using them individually for my table decor. If you like the tea stained look, check out this Patriotic Wreath!

My tablecloth is just a piece of ticking fabric that I cut off the bolt. Shh…I didn’t even hem it! I did the same thing for the tablecloth on my Nautical Tablescape last summer.

An old board has become my signature table runner. It really works well with my rustic theme.

I had this old painted wooden estate sale box in my basement. It was the perfect shade of barn red!

The wooden star was in my craft stash. I painted it white then brushed it with brown wax to “dirty it up”.

The flowers were the finishing touch to my centerpiece. I also used white alyssum in last year’s Enamelware Themed Patriotic Tablescape.

The blue goblets are another favorite thrifting score!

The napkins, chargers, flatware and napkin rings are all second hand.

The plates are vintage Homer Laughlin. My mom gifted me a huge set of these creamware dishes, and I love them.

vintage bell on a stack of old books

This bell is the most sentimental piece of all. My mom would ring it to let my brother and I know it was time for dinner. Back in the “free range childhood” days of the 70’s and 80’s. It rests atop an old stack of books.
