Santa’s Sleigh Christmas Tablescape

For my Santa’s Sleigh Christmas Tablescape, I was inspired by a vintage sleigh and reindeer that I found at a vintage market over a year ago. I was smitten! I knew it would make a perfect centerpiece.

I was going to rest the reindeer and sleigh in fiberfill to mimic snow, but the deer need a flat surface to stand up. So I used another old board as a table runner. It’s becoming my signature look!

I can’t get enough bottle brush trees! I put my collection of old and new trees on the table to create a mini forest.

I used the same green tablecloth from my Thanksgiving Tablescape, but I layered it with a vintage poinsettia and holly motif tablecloth.

The plate stack consists of a silver charger…

My everyday Johnson Brothers Old British Castles dinner plate…

With a matching Johnson Brothers Christmas Dessert Plate on top.

I have the matching mugs, too.

A mini gift from Santa’s sack is placed at each place setting.

The sugar and creamer don’t match the dishes, but the colors coordinate.

The candle holders are a recent tag sale find.

The vintage plastic snowman came from my mom’s stash.

Santa is a vintage ornament. I found the mini gifts in his sleigh at a recent church bazaar.

I hope you liked my Santa’s Sleigh Christmas Tablescape.  I plan to leave it intact on the dining room table for the whole month, as we eat our everyday meals at the kitchen table.

Now it’s time to visit the blogs of my table stylist friends.  You’re bound to find some inspiration for your own holiday table!

Many thanks to Chloe from Celebrate and Decorate for coordinating these tablescape blog hops all year long.

Enjoy your day!

  11. Rebecca, you lucky, lucky gal finding those vintage plastic reindeer! I have a number of photos of them pinned in my vintage Christmas board — I’ve been on the lookout for some, but the ones online are too pricey. All the ones I’ve seen show a different sled and Santa though. I like how you placed it on one of your signature boards too with all the bottle brush trees. That J&J top plate and mugs are so bee-u-ti-ful! If I didn’t already have their Twas the Night Before pattern, I’d be sorely tempted. Your table should certainly be enjoyed all season long!

The vendor at the market said they belonged to her grandmother. I was so happy to find them! I’m not familiar with the Twas the Night Before pattern. I’ll have to check that out too!
