Easy and Inexpensive DIY Tiny Christmas Trees
It’s only four days until Christmas…yikes! There’s still so much to do! But before the holiday is over, I wanted to share one more craft with you. I actually made and photographed these DIY Tiny Christmas Trees a few weeks ago, but I haven’t had time to write a post.
I got the idea from some trees I saw at the Target Dollar Spot. I knew I could make something similar, and these cost just pennies to make!
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Faux evergreen garland or wreath
- Small wood stumps (I found mine at Dollar Tree)
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- Wire cutters
- Scissors
- Hammer and a nail
Step 1.
Snip off a 4 inch piece of greenery from the garland or wreath.
Step 2.
Trim off an inch of the greenery around the bottom to create a tree trunk.
Step 3.
Trim the greenery into a triangle tree shape.
Step 4.
Create a small hole in the center of the wood stump with a hammer and nail.
Step 5.
Put a dab of hot glue into the nail hole and insert the mini tree. Done!
These would make great place card holders, or use them in your Christmas Village display. I styled mine with my vintage deer and paint by numbers winter artwork.
So that wraps up my Christmas content for 2019! I hope you liked my Tiny DIY Christmas Trees. I’m looking forward to sharing some organizing and decluttering projects in 2020.
Happiest Holidays to you all!
Rebecca
I love these! Gonna have to run to DT after Xmas and pick up some of those wood stumps. Pinned
So cute! What a great idea! I’ve done something similar with wood slices, but these would be much sturdier.
