Celebrate Your Story! #211

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Happy Monday friends!  Can you believe that Christmas is next week?  How did this happen so quickly?  I had a busy week with my daughter’s activities, but I was quiet on the blog.  That’s just how it goes sometimes!

There were some great link ups this week!  As always, it’s hard to choose just six features.  As you’ll see, there’s a nice mix of decor, crafts and other ideas.

I’m obsessed with the vintage Christmas decor from Kristin of White Arrows Home. Her Wisconsin lakeside log cabin is decked out with a nautical theme. I love the tree in the Scotch Kooler with the bobber ornaments!

Christine from The DIY Dreamer created these cool waterless snow globes. How clever! Your child is less likely to drop them without the weight of the water. They’re inexpensive and easy to make.

I found this post from Dee of Grammy’s Grid very interesting. I grew up believing in Santa, and I allow my daughter to participate in the tradition, too. We attend church and she’s learned about Christ’s birth, as well. The Elf on the Shelf is another story…that wasn’t around when I was a kid and thus there’s no elf in our house.

I have a weakness for vintage Christmas ornaments and I pick them up at estate sales year round. I was thrilled to see that Debbee from Debbee’s Buzz shared these special ornaments that she inherited from her parents! The caroler above is my favorite! I’ve never seen one like it.

When I’m sick, a steam shower always helps with my congestion. So I was intrigued by this post from Deb of Dragonfly Treasure. She shared a recipe for these DIY steamers that you use in the shower to relieve congestion. They’re made with Vicks Vapor Rub, another childhood staple!

Most people don’t associate pink with Christmas decor, but Coco from The Crowned Goat created the most dreamy (and pink!) Christmas porch. It looks so cozy and inviting. I want to sit on that wicker settee and have a snack and a beverage!

The most clicked link of the week is this lovely Christmas tablescape from Sandra of Dinner at Eight. I don’t know about you all, but I never tire of bottle brush trees, pinecones and red berries at Christmas!

Thank you to everyone for sharing, and congratulations to all of the featured bloggers!  I had so much fun reading your posts and discovering new to me blogs.  Don’t forget to link up your new posts to have a chance to be featured next week at Celebrate Your Story!

  3. Rebecca, I am running behind schedule and just saw that you featured my Vintage Christmas Ornaments today — thank you! That boy caroler is one of my favorites too. I discovered him at a vintage store and he reminded me of the stories my husband told me when he was in his school/church choir as a child. Thanks for hosting, especially this busy time of year!
