Celebrate Your Story! #287

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Hello friends! Have you ever been stung by a wasp? It’s not fun 🙁 That’s what happened to me in the pool yesterday. Luckily, I’m not allergic, so it was just unpleasant and painful.

I’m sorry I missed you all last week…I’ve been having a tough time adjusting to the summer schedule. The few day camps that my daughter will be attending don’t start until mid July, so we’ve been trying to find ways to stay busy and fight the dreaded “Mom, I’m bored”. I promise to be back on track next week!

Now, let’s check out the features and get the party started!

You know how I love upcycled crafts. Claire from Claire Justine shared 10 creative ways to reuse jam jars (or any type of glass jars). How clever to put citrus slices inside a vase!

I always struggle to put my daughter’s hair in a bun for her dance classes. I’m definitely going to try Helen from Hello Sewing‘s neat DIY fabric bun maker. I love how it creates a cute bow!

I’ve been trying to eat healthier and cut back on sugar. I was intrigued with this chocolate bark recipe from Julie of Home on the Hill. It’s sugar and dairy free and takes just five minutes to make. Sounds like a great guilt free treat!

Sandra from Dinner at Eight has a new puppy! She soon discovered that he likes to explore the world with his mouth, including the garden. So, she designed a pet friendly (and lovely!) garden.

Are you planning a wedding or know someone who’s getting married? Tiffany from Tee Diddly Dee created the cutest “Just Hitched” sign out of pallet wood for her own wedding! It’s perfect for a country, rustic chic style wedding.

Here’s a great way to use the bumper crop of summer zucchini. Leslie from Feet Under My Table shared her recipe for Zucchini Zoodles. It’s a healthier and lighter alternative to a summer pasta supper!

The most clicked link of the week is from Kristin of White Arrows Home. She shared a patriotic home tour of her lakeside log cabin home. I love how she decorated her boat shed with vintage goodies!

  4. Thanks for featuring my post all about puppy-proofing the garden! Such a delightful surprise! Though not quite like responding to a bored child, my puppy demands attention every minute he’s awake, lol.
