Celebrate Your Story! #252

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Hello friends! I hope you’re all having a good week so far. We’re starting to plan for Halloween at our house, which like everything else, is going to be different this year. With no trick or treating, I’m thinking we can have a virtual costume party with my daughter’s friends. Then we’ll have snacks and candy and watch a (not too scary) movie. I’d love to hear what your plans are!

Here’s what I was up to last week:

DIY Fall Tiered Tray Decor

Now, on with the party!

How unique is this black pumpkin decorated for Halloween? Debbee from Debbee’s Buzz really nailed her eerie yet elegant theme. I love the bling on the mask!

I love this festive fall embroidery hoop wreath created by Lynne from My Family Thyme. The red apples really make it pop. And the black and white buffalo check ribbon is the perfect finishing touch!

During the cold weather, I make a lot of soup which I like to serve with corn bread. I was excited to see this recipe for corn pudding muffins from Julie of Julie’s Creative Lifestyle. I can’t wait to try them next time I make soup!

Carol from Bluesky at Home made two fabulous neutral pumpkin pillows from a store bought table runner. They look so designer and expensive! Plus, there’s fabric left over for another project.

There’s nothing like outdoor dining in the fall! Denise from My Home of All Seasons designed this lovely patio tablescape. I love the textured placemats, the blue plates and those brown goblets!

I find these angel wings beautiful and striking! Claire from Pillar Box Blue made this wall art from pinecones painted white. It really pops against the gray frame!

The most clicked link of the week is from Chas of Chas’ Crazy Creations. She shared 13 ways to remove common household stains. I love that most of the cleaners are non-toxic, inexpensive everyday items!

  4. Rebecca, I love that patio tablescape! I agree on all points you make of it, and wouldn’t that be a great place for a Thanksgiving dinner that would work with 2020?! Thanks for hosting, and for sharing the platform for all of us bloggers.

  5. hi Rebecca, you’re virtual Halloween plans sound like so much fun! I love the features this week, I have made Julie’s corn muffins and they are soo good! The painted pinecone angel wings are beautiful!

  6. What a sweet Halloween treat to have my DIY black pumpkin decor featured! Thanks so much! This morning I shared a gothic glam table using both pumpkins in the centerpiece. As long as your kids are old enough to use a glue gun, perhaps you could have them decorate their own faux orange pumpkins with stuff from your craft stash and cheap items from DT? Whatever you do, I’m sure you’ll make it a fun evening.
