Celebrate Your Story! #288

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Hey friends! I hope you all had a nice 4th of July weekend! We kept it low key with just a small family gathering and a casual alfresco meal. It was nice to be outdoors, and we’ve been spending a lot of time in the pool. We even saw some fireworks set off by the neighbors!

I was happy to see a lot of new faces at last week’s party! Welcome everyone! I’m so glad you found this party, and I hope to see you again soon 🙂

Now, let’s get started!

Have you ever had cheesecake in a waffle cone? What a genius dessert idea! Lenny from Fat Dad Foodie shared this amazing no bake recipe, perfect for summer entertaining 🙂

Lynne from My Family Thyme created this cute home sign. I love how it will compliment either patriotic or everyday home decor. Check out Lynne’s blog to learn how to make one of your own!

We just added a hummingbird feeder to our backyard garden. I was thrilled to read this post from Hannah of Homemade Weekly that’s full of facts about hummingbirds and some great tips to attract them to your yard. She even has a recipe for hummingbird food!

Kristi from Mulch and Paint gave her son’s bedroom a makeover for the One Room Challenge. I love the blue and brown color scheme she chose and the storage shelves that flank the bed. She’s created a functional and attractive space!

I used to get Stitch Fix subscription boxes, and it was so fun…it was like Christmas morning every three months! April from April Golightly shared her review of Eloquii Unlimited. Instead of buying the clothes, though, they are rented. What a great way to keep your wardrobe fresh! (And that dress is so stylish and flattering!)

I feel like Julie from Filling the Jars wrote this post just for me! She shared a decluttering guide for the “overwhelmed over thinker”. I just love how she describes her system as a way to take the clutter down a notch instead of becoming a minimalist.

The most clicked link of the week is from Wendy of My French Twist. She created these useful and attractive food domes out of 50 cent baskets from Goodwill. Since I was shooing flies away during our outdoor meal this past weekend, I’m going to be making some of these clever crafts!
