Celebrate Your Story! #299

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Welcome back, friends! I’m home with a sick kid this week. Fortunately, it’s just a head cold. She was tested for everything else by her pediatrician yesterday. It was pretty worrisome, though. She must’ve caught it from my friend’s son who has the same symptoms. They were playing together outside after church on Sunday. I’m hoping she’ll be able to go back to school by Friday. For now, I’ve had no choice but to relax the screen time limits lol! I hope you’re all having a good week.

It was hard to choose features this week. There were so many cool projects and yummy recipes! Let’s check them out!

I have a thing for all things deer, so I just adore this no sew felt mask designed by Beth of Creatively Beth. Felt is great for beginner crafters as it doesn’t fray. Beth provides the pattern as a free download if you’d like to make one with your littles!

Here is one unique (and healthy) appetizer! Melissa from Everyday Savvy created this super easy and tasty recipe. With just five ingredients, it’s ideal for a dinner party or Thanksgiving!

I’m loving the rustic elegance of these birch candle holders from Lisa of Fresh Vintage by Lisa S. She made them herself from logs in her wood pile! She also created a sweet birch log trinket box.

Looking for some spooky Halloween table setting inspiration? Check out this festive tablescape from Sandra of Dinner at Eight. I’m loving the plates, black hydrangeas and those dragon goblets!

One day, I’ll learn how to crochet. I’d love to be able to make cool stuff like these crocheted lampshades. Liz from Howling at the Moon made them for her dining room from a kit. How chic!

Aren’t these mummy cookies adorable? I’m going to make some with my daughter! Lois from Walking on Sunshine Recipes shared the super easy instructions. Best of all, they’re made with Oreos so no need to bake!

The most clicked link of the week is from Patrick of Adventures in Weseland. He took us on a virtual tour of the San Francisco Conservatory of Flowers. What a beautiful place!

  3. Thanks for hosting, and I am relieved your daughter only has a cold. We were down with what I believe was COVID, still missing some taste bud activity and sense of smell. Happy Fall from Montana!
