Celebrate Your Story! #275

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Welcome, friends! Can you believe that Easter is less than a week away? Weather permitting, we’ll be attending church for the first time in over a year. It will be in the church parking lot, socially distanced and with masks…but still a blessing to be able to worship together in person! Then we’ll come home and have a nice Easter brunch. What are your plans?

Here’s what I was up to last week:

DIY Fabric Covered Easter Eggs

Now let’s party!

Lori from Dining Delight and I both chose pink for our Easter tablescapes this year. I’m crushing over those sweet white bunny plates. And she had the clever idea to use feather boas for her fluffy bunny theme!

How neat is this paper mâché egg craft from Claire of Pillar Box Blue? I love the vintage bunny and daffodil images! It looks so cute styled atop an old cotton reel.

If you’re looking for Easter recipes, Jenna from The Painted Apron has you covered! She shared a round up of several tasty recipes, both savory and sweet. I will definitely be trying this Croissant Brunch Casserole. Yum!

If you’ve never been on a home tour with CoCo from The Crowned Goat, you’re in for a treat! She shared her lovely home featuring spring flowers. Be prepared for lots of eye candy!

The Beatrix Potter stories bring back fond memories from my childhood, so I was delighted to see this collection of figurines shared by Debbee of Debbee’s Buzz! She has been collecting them since adolescence and has quite a collection! Jemima Puddle-Duck was always my favorite!

Can you believe this needle felted VW Beetle was created from an upcycled wool sweater? Sara from Birdz of a Feather made this amazing craft! Having owned a yellow VW bug convertible myself, I think this is so fabulous!

The most clicked link of the week is from Niky of The House on Silverado. She set this festive Easter tablescape two years ago when she hosted a meal for 13 people. Niky shares some great tips on how to entertain a crowd!

  3. Puddle Duck was my favorite character from the books, and I desperately wanted a live one when I was a kid. Thanks so much for featuring my collection. I’m going to try to find a vintage little green book to go with each one going forward. Keeping an eye out! How very cool of you to have a yellow convertible bug! You should post a pix of it and tell the story of your driving experiences.

  5. Rebecca, thanks so much for sharing my Easter Table! It brings back such memories, seeing those pics! It was my very first try at hosting a holiday dinner after my mother passed. I was trying to pay tribute to her, as she hosted all the holidays for my entire life. Then, pandemic happened and last year we didnt’ have a family Easter dinner. This year, I’m so looking forward to setting the table again for a smaller family dinner, but at least we’ll be around the table again. All of us in my “bubble” are now vaccinated, and I’ve missed these gathering around the table almost more than anything.
