Celebrate Your Story! #284

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Hi friends! I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! We went to a picnic at our neighbor’s house. The kids got to play and we enjoyed some good food and conversation. My daughter loved going back to school last week, and I had the best time going thrifting and out to lunch with my bestie, Meredith. Life is finally starting to feel somewhat normal again, and I’m so happy! I hope you’re all getting to do some fun things that have been put on hold for the past year, too.

Here’s what I was up to on the blog:

How to Make a Patriotic Door Wreath from Dollar Tree

Now, it’s party time!

Julie from My Wee Abode updated a cheap tray from Hobby Lobby and made it her own with fabric, Mod Podge, paint and drawer pulls. Now it looks like it came from a boutique gift shop. I love how she styled it for Spring and Summer!

If you like all natural beauty products, then you’ll want to try this Shea and Cocoa Butter Body Balm from Tomiko of Kiku Corner. It’s easy to make and you can choose your favorite essential oil fragrance. What a great gift idea, too!

Oh my, this Lemon Zest Cake from Leslie of Feet Under My Table looks scrumptious! I love how she decorated it with fresh roses and mint leaves. I’ve never made buttercream frosting before, but now I want to give it a try!

Having just made my own patriotic wreath with a Dollar Tree garland, I was thrilled to see Beth from Creatively Beth‘s version. It’s amazing what you can make with Dollar Tree items for next to nothing! I love the addition of the USA banner.

Do you have a damaged entertainment center? Fix it up and give it a makeover like Leanna from Pretty DIY Home. I love the new look with white paint…check out how it looked before!

Like trays, baskets are a great accent piece for decorating. Carol from Bluesky at Home shared three ways to decorate with baskets. I just love the casual summer look of this market tote filled with outdoor reading essentials!

The most clicked link of the week is from Wendy of WM Design House. This outdoor patriotic tablescape is gorgeous! I’m crushing over those blue enamelware dishes and the little red stool 🙂
