Celebrate Your Story! #227

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Hi friends! I hope you’re all hanging in there! Today was my daughter’s 7th Birthday, so we did our best to make it special. We had a “drive up party”, where friends and family parked in front of the house and we chatted with them from the front porch. I put a table with individually packaged homemade brownies on a table in the front yard for the “guests”. It was a bit strange, but my daughter loved it!

I’m amazed at how well children are handling these circumstances. Much better than the adults! As I write this, she is having a virtual playdate with a friend on FaceTime. They are both playing with their Barbie dolls at the same time. Thank goodness for technology!

Now, time to distract ourselves with some fun party features!

Chloe from Celebrate and Decorate styles the most beautiful and creative tablescapes! I’m loving all of the pops of pink and the gorgeous eucalyptus and rose runner. And how clever to present each guest with fresh raspberries in a champagne croupe!

I haven’t made scones in years, but I know that’s about to change! Meinhilde of Kiku Corner shared her recipe for buttery scones. These will be perfect with my afternoon coffee!

How cool is this? A DIY pallet planter filled with herbs! Jayne from Chalking Up Success has a great tutorial on her site. I love the stencils!

Linda from Paper Seedlings drew this adorable Norfolk Terrier. He’s so cute! You’ve got to see Linda’s other drawings…she’s so talented!

Look at this pretty farmhouse floral arrangement from Allyson of Southern Sunflowers! I love the vibrant colors of the coral peonies and lavender. Plus, the thrift store basket cost just $2!

With all of this time I’m spending at home, I find myself cooking and baking a lot. These healthy breakfast bars from Nora of Treat and Trick would make nutritious snacks. I’m going to make a batch to freeze!

The most clicked link of the week is this great raised garden bed DIY from Kippi of Kippi at Home. What better way to spend this extra time at home than to plant a vegetable garden! Plus, there will be fewer trips to the grocery store.

Thank you to everyone for sharing, and congratulations to all of the featured bloggers!  I had so much fun reading your posts and discovering new to me blogs.  Don’t forget to link up your new posts to have a chance to be featured next week at Celebrate Your Story!
