Celebrate Your Story! #278

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Hey friends! I hope you’re having a great week so far. Today is my daughter’s 8th birthday, so I’ve been busy making arrangements for a very low key party. Last year was a drive by party, but this year will be a small gathering outdoors with masks. It’s progress, right? I got my first vaccine shot last week, so I’m looking forward to venturing out more very soon. I’ve missed going to thrift shops and tag sales the most!

Ok, on with the party!

Lilacs are one of my favorite flowers…they smell so heavenly! Penny from Penny’s Vintage Home created this lovely arrangement in a crate on her kitchen island. I’m looking forward to May when lilacs begin to bloom here in Connecticut!

This pineapple chicken recipe from Estelle of Homemade on a Weeknight looks so tasty! It features a Teriyaki BBQ sauce with ginger, garlic and sesame seeds. She suggests serving it with Asian slaw or rice. Yum!

Debbie from Debbie Dabble Blog shared a spring home tour of her friend Anne Marie’s house. I loved all of the vintage treasures and vignettes. This vintage Steiff lamb with the darling face is my favorite!

Party newcomer Carena from The Accidental Dream House crafted this cute lemonade sign from scrap wood for only $8! I want to make one for my daughter’s lemonade stand. It would also make the cutest summer decor!

I’ve been looking for a king size bed frame, but the prices are usually way over my budget. Hannah from Handmade Weekly made this fabulous upholstered bed frame herself! I’m so impressed with her carpentry skills. It looks amazing and so professional!

I’ve never made ice cream before, but Amy from A Day of Small Things makes me want to get an ice cream maker! Her Blackberry Ice Cream looks divine and easy to make. And her daughter also just turned 8!

The most clicked link of the week is this gorgeous chair makeover from Regina of Saved from Salvage. Can you believe the fabric is painted? You’ve got to see how it looked before!
