Celebrate Your Story! #265

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Hello friends! I hope you’re having a good week so far. I’m starting to work on some Valentine’s Day content this week. Although the new year has been off to a rough start, I’m trying to stay positive and focus on my goals. I have hope that things will get better and life will return to some semblance of normal by the fall. I hope you’re all hanging in there, too!

Here’s what I was up to last week:

Easy Crock Pot Beef Stroganoff

Now, time to party!

Looking for a Valentine’s Day craft? Claire from Pillar Box Blue made this cute heart brooch from recycled sweaters! It would make a great gift, too.

I’ll admit, it makes me sad to take down the Christmas tree. Penny from Penny’s Vintage Home has a clever way to keep the tree up a little longer…turn it into a winter tree! I love those huge snowballs and the white poinsettia stems.

Nothing says winter like a steaming cup of hot cocoa. Ann from The Apple Street Cottage shared her recipe for homemade hot cocoa without the additives found in store bought brands. I love how she packaged it, too!

I dream of visiting Ireland one day. Cathy and Soko from Life of Two Snowbirds shared some great photos from their trip to Bunratty Castle and Folk Park in County Clare. I was especially drawn to this charming photo of reconstructed century old Irish homes!

I love the romantic look of this paper cone designed by Pam from An Artful Mom! It’s perfect for Valentine’s Day with the pink pattern and lace trim. Fill it with chocolates and you have a perfect gift!

Here’s another clever way to update your winter decor. Debbie from Debbie Dabble Blog spruced up an old wreath with a new bow, some new picks, pinecones and a little paint on the worn sign. I love the cardinal theme!

The most clicked link of the week is from Denise of My Home of All Seasons. She styled this lovely winter tiered tray in her kitchen. I love the hat and mittens. Check out her blog to see the other tiered tray she styled for her winter coffee bar!

  8. Rebecca, your beef stroganoff looks really good. I think I will try your recipe this week! This is one of my favorite things to see bloggers share, because not only do they like it themselves, but I like reading comments of the process (not just the recipe). Thank you for that, and for hosting. I hope someday to travel to Ireland (it’s where my Dad’s people migrated from). so I really enjoyed Two Snowbirds’ post.
