Celebrate Your Story! #221

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Happy Monday everyone! It’s 50 degrees outside here in Connecticut, so I’m a happy camper. The sun is shining and it feels like spring is finally on it’s way. Weather can be so strange…on Saturday I was selling Girl Scout Cookies with my daughter outside of a local business and it was 28 degrees! I just hope that things stay mild from now on!

Here’s what I was up to last week:

How to Decorate a Large Mantel for Spring

Before we get to this week’s party, I just wanted to let you all know that tomorrow is the Welcome Spring Tablescape Blog Hop, hosted by my friend Chloe from Celebrate and Decorate. Be sure to stop back to see the gorgeous spring tables designed by 26 talented home decor bloggers!

Debbie from Debbie Dabble Blog shared some new items with her readers, including these adorable bunny melamine plates from Tuesday Morning. I love how they’re egg shaped! Now if only I had a Tuesday Morning nearby…

Spring is the busiest season for weddings, and Lisa from A Bride on a Budget has some great ways to save money on the big day. Check out her post on how to use Valentine’s Day clearance merchandise for decor and favors!

Speaking of saving money, Lisa from Drugstore Divas shared some ways to cut the cost of your heating bills. Some of these I’d never heard of before, such as using childproof outlet plugs to keep cold air from coming in through electrical outlets. How clever!

There’s nothing like coming home to a crock pot full of hot soup after a long day! Julie from Julie’s Creative Lifestyle shared this easy, delicious and nutritious recipe for White Bean Soup. This would be perfect with a loaf of crusty bread!

How cute and unique is this Polar Bear Tablescape designed by Beth from Whispers of the Heart? I love the details, such as the napkin rings and place card holders!

Penny from Penny’s Vintage Home shared how she brought a dated $3 tag sale table back to life with white paint. I just love how she styled the table with these DIY cottage chic fabric Easter eggs!

The most clicked link of the week comes from Dee of Grammy’s Grid. She shares a short story about the above photo, entitled Blurred Vision. My favorite part is the angry cow…go read it yourself!

Thank you to everyone for sharing, and congratulations to all of the featured bloggers!  I had so much fun reading your posts and discovering new to me blogs.  Don’t forget to link up your new posts to have a chance to be featured next week at Celebrate Your Story!
