Easy Fall Patio Decor and Entertaining Ideas
This summer, our family purchased new patio furniture and a gazebo with mosquito netting. We’ve really been enjoying spending time outside dining, reading and even napping! As summer turns to fall, we will continue to spend time outdoors on our patio. Today, I’m sharing some easy fall patio decor and entertaining ideas.
I’m taking part in a Fall Home Tour, graciously hosted by Andrea from Design Morsels. There will be links to all of the participant’s blogs at the end of this post. Be sure to visit everyone for more fall decorating ideas!
Easy Fall Patio Decor
The easiest way to transition your decor from one season to the next is with pillows. I love to add seasonal flair to my neutral pillows. I made the above pillow from painter’s drop cloth fabric and temporarily attached a large felt leaf from Dollar Tree with hem tape. I also made this pumpkin pillow for my living room.
Get crafty! Nothing gives a space personality and interest like something hand crafted. I make the pumpkins with old sweaters and shirts. Placed on top of a mini hay bale, they make a cute fall vignette.
Add some drama! I hung this thrift store chandelier inside the gazebo. Lit up by votive candles, it gives the otherwise casual space some unexpected elegance.
Entertaining Ideas
For an easy and casual meal, try a charcuterie board. Lay an assortment of meats, cheeses, fruits, nuts, crackers, spreads and olives on a cutting board. I designed this for just my husband and I, since we’re not having guests these days due to social distancing. When we can entertain again, there will be a much larger spread, lol!
Get cozy! Provide everyone with a warm throw to snuggle under on those chilly fall nights.
Relax and unwind. Play some music, light candles, sip a glass of wine and just savor the conversation or the solitude.
The plates are from Dollar Tree. I also used them for my Traditional and Colorful Thanksgiving Tablescape last year.
I plan to enjoy as much time outside as I can. I hope you’ve found some inspiration to create an outdoor oasis of your own!
Now, go check out what my talented blogger friends have been up to at their homes!
See you next time 🙂

The little hay bale is the cutest! You made everything look so cozy and inviting. Hope you enjoy entertaining in this space!
Great ideas! Love all your navy with the fall colors! Those little hay bails are so cut! Pinned!
Love the plaid throw and the chandelier is fabulous! So cozy!

What a cozy and pretty spread, Rebecca! I love how you temporarily added a leaf to your pillow so you can still change it out with the seasons. That chandelier was such a great find, too! You did a beautiful job with this space. Pinned!
Thanks so much, Crissy! The chandelier is one of my all time favorite finds…I’ve never seen another one like it. It’s perfect for this outdoor space. I’m so glad you stopped by!
Your gazebo looks like such a nice cozy spot to enjoy the time out of doors. Having a screened space is the perfect answer to pesky mosquitoes! That chandelier repurposed with votive candles is brilliant, and I am sure offers a nice glow to evenings spent out of doors. I don’t know which came first, but it immediately reminded me of the chandelier in your logo! It is great to stop by and visit!
Rebecca, I love your charcuterie board for two. Such a great idea. Your enclosed gazebo is a wonderful place for relaxing. The touches of fall you added are just right for this time of year.
Rebecca, I love your outdoor oasis and all of your ideas. The pillows and pumpkins are great Diy projects that I am adding to my bucket list.
How wonderful to have a pretty screened/netted in area! We eat dinner outside all the time and have I have tons of mosquito bites on my legs to prove it! Your cheese board looks so appetizing too…Cheers! Great to hop with you again!

Your outdoor living area looks lovely. Love all the Fall touches. Sit back and enjoy.
Extending the season with your gazebo is really smart. The blues and oranges are striking and I really like the deep blue and orange flannel throw. Would love for you to share where you purchased it.
It’s so smart to invest in outdoor furniture so you can enjoy your outdoor space well into the next season. Especially love the practicality of the mosquito netting – lol. Your pillow idea is awesome; so easy but looks so great! I’m totally inspired to do something with our outdoor space now. Maybe not this year, but definitely next year 🙂
Oh I love the chandelier in the gazebo! What a mood you created. Did you wire it in? My mind is spinning with how to make this work at my house. It looks so cozy. Where did you find the plaid throw? I love plaid so much. Thanks for taking part in the home tour. You’ve given me some great ideas.
How much fun to have a gazebo! It looks wonderful decorated for fall with a cozy blanket and leaf pillow…your hand crafted pumpkins are adorable and look so cute with the hay bale. I know you will enjoy many times ahead in this spot, and hopefully soon you will be able to add more goodies to your charcuterie board and have friends over!
Looks lovely Rebecca! I love your pillow and pumpkins! Thanks for sharing and wonderful doing the fall tour with you!
