Celebrate Your Story! #243

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Hello all! Welcome to this week’s party. Although it’s still hot and humid, my mind is on Fall. Tomorrow, I’ll be decorating for a Fall Home Tour post that goes live on Thursday. School starts at the end of the month, so I’m setting up a home school space for my daughter. It’s not how I imagined the school year would begin, but it’s the safest option for now. Are you planning for Fall yet? I’d love to hear what you’re up to.

Ok, let’s get the party started!

Paula from Sweet Pea designed this gorgeous arrangement of chrysanthemums and lemons. I love the milk glass container she used. She has a detailed tutorial on her blog if you’d like to make one, too!

Teak furniture is so classic. Andrea from Design Morsels made her weathered set look new again with a good cleaning and the application of teak oil. You’ve got to see the amazing transformation!

Who doesn’t love tacos? Jenna from The Painted Apron has a delicious and healthy recipe that uses romaine lettuce leaves in place of flour tortillas. I’ll definitely be trying this, especially since there are Fritos involved 😉

Only Chas from Chas’ Crazy Creations could come up with this unique craft. She’s repurposed glass bottles into pumpkins with solar lights. Imagine how cool they must look lit up outside at night!

Favorite things parties have become popular in recent years, but I’ve never been to one. Debbee from Debbee’s Buzz has hosted several of these parties, and she provides some great tips (like creative gift wrapping!) to make them unforgettable.

Do you have dated bathroom cabinets? Julie from My Wee Abode will show you how to paint them yourself in one day. These look like new! I love the color 🙂

The most clicked link of the week is this cute goat cart from MaryJo of Masterpieces of my Life. She shares how she styles her beloved cart for every season. My favorite is the daisies in olive buckets!

  1. These features are all so beautiful! Our littles are all going back to in person school because no other option was offered. We’ll be sending them back with lots of prayers. Praying your pumpkins make a purpose and peace filled transition too. Hugs and thank you for hosting, CoCo

  2. Thank you so much for the feature, Rebecca! I’m not sure why my photo looks so grainy… looks like I painted them terribly! LOL! Oh well! Hugs, and have a great week!

  3. Thank you so much for hosting! This week I am sharing 15 of my favorite audiobooks, and our wall mural from a vintage fishing ad! Hope you are having a great week!

  4. Hi there! Thanks for hosting. It was such a nice surprise to see my Goat Cart on here. It made my day! My daughter starts school on Thursday- all remote. I am so not ready for this. It’s a new world for all of us. Have great week.

    XO- MaryJo

  5. Rebecca, I’m so delighted to be featured this week! Although we are all practicing social distancing and not gathering in large groups, planning a My Favorite Things Party might bee just the thing for better days ahead. Small groups of even 8 make for a good sized MFTP format. If indoors, masks on, if on a covered porch or patio before colder weather sets in no masks.

  6. Hi Rebecca! I am thrilled to be a feature this week! I hope you do try the Taco lettuce wrap, and you’re right, with Fritos involved you don’t miss the tortillas! I love Chas’ pumpkin bottles, so cute! Setting up a home school station is smart, in our area the schools that are open have staggered starts and days, ugh, so hard on everyone. Thanks for hosting and I’ll see you Thursday at the Fall home tour hop!
