Christmas Mantel and 2018 Holiday Decor Recap
I can’t believe that Christmas is only 2 days away! Before the holiday is over, I’m going to share my Christmas mantel. It’s a difficult time of year for me because my mom passed away eight years ago in December.
But I have a five year old daughter, so I need to hold it together and make sure she has a magical Christmas. My mom went over the top with her holiday decorations, so the perfect way to honor her memory is to recreate some of that magic for my daughter.
I just love this little porcelain angel figurine.
A jolly Santa and his reindeer…
How fabulous is this vintage Santa, by the way?
Mason jar candles borrowed from my Thanksgiving tablescape. And felt stockings my mom ordered from The Company Store years ago.
A 1950’s metal tree stand (also from my mom). I went without a tree skirt to accentuate the stand. Note the needles. I’m keeping it real, LOL! While we’re on the subject of the tree…I let my daughter decorate the tree with ornaments she made at church and a hodge podge of trimmings from various sources. She was so excited to put the star on top. I realized after I’d taken the photos that it’s leaning to one side!
I really enjoyed decorating my Christmas mantel and the rest of my home this year! We’re hosting a crowd on Christmas Eve, so it’s nice that the house is looking extra festive. Here is a quick recap of my other Christmas 2018 decor.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with your families! My daughter will be home from school all next week, so I’m going to take the week off as well. Hope to see you again soon!
