Celebrate Your Story! #238

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Hi friends! I hope you all had a nice 4th of July with your families. We had a small outdoor barbecue. I was thrilled to make and eat potato salad!

Red Skinned Potato Salad Recipe with Bacon

Here’s a story to which my blogger friends can relate: I decided to put my potato salad recipe on the blog, so I needed to take a few styled photos. I was able to take several of the casserole dish full of garnished potato salad before our (3) family members arrived. When everyone went outside to start eating, I hung back in the kitchen to take some shots of my dinner plate. When I sat down outside, my mother-in-law asked where I’d been. I replied that I was photographing my dinner plate, and realized how strange that must sound as everyone (except my husband) gave me a puzzled look!

Has anything like that ever happened to you all?

Ok, enough chatting…let’s start the party 🙂

I love this patriotic foyer decor! Shelley from Calypso in the Country created this beautiful Farmhouse style vignette in her foyer to celebrate the 4th of July. There’s nothing more classic than red roses!

I will definitely be trying this recipe from Jenna of The Painted Apron. BBQ chicken tacos with pineapple, bacon and broccoli slaw? Yes, please!

Kim from Shiplap and Shells shared her post about creating relaxing outdoor spaces. Her entire yard is amazing and full of different places to relax. This hammock under a pergola looks so cozy to me!

Are you looking to add some new items to your summer wardrobe? Paula from Sweet Pea has some fashionable and affordable picks from Old Navy and Fashom. I need to get some of those Old Navy shorts!

Doesn’t this coffee cake look delicious? Claire from Claire’s World made it for her daughter’s birthday. It’s even gluten and dairy free!

I’m living vicariously through CoCo of The Crowned Goat, lol! Her favorite antique booth vender had a 50% off sale, and boy did she score! Check out the cool stuff she brought home!

The most clicked link of the week is the tutorial for these sweet patriotic tin can votive holders. Rachelle from My Hubbard Home featured these votives in her fabulous 4th of July outdoor tablescape.
