Step 1 – Make a stocking template

Draw a stocking pattern on craft paper and cut out. I used a stocking that was in my Christmas stash. If you don’t have a stocking on hand, draw one free hand or look for a pattern to download online.

Step 2 – Cut out the cuff and hanger fabric

For the loop that is used to hang the stocking, cut a piece of the cuff fabric 2 1/2″ W x 8″ L. I made a craft paper template, but you can also just measure and mark the fabric instead.

For the cuff, cut the fabric on the fold 4″ W x the length around the top of the stocking.

I really love how my stocking turned out! The red jacquard fabric that I used for the cuff is left over from the table runners that I made for my winter wedding. You can see how I used this runner in my Valentine Tablescape. It definitely has a holiday vibe!
