Celebrate Your Story! #261

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Welcome friends! Can you believe Christmas is now just a week and a half away? I just picked up our photo cards from CVS yesterday, so I’ll be busy getting those mailed out this week. I’ve missed the cookie swaps and holiday gatherings this year. I always look forward to working at the vintage treasures booth and doing some holiday shopping at our church’s annual holiday bazaar. I know that after this year, I’ll especially savor and be grateful for the holiday traditions when they can safely resume. I hope you’re all doing well and finding some enjoyment during this holiday season!

Now, let’s start the party!

Debbee from Debbee’s Buzz has the most clever idea…stock up on wreath making supplies after Christmas and refresh your wreaths for next year in January! You’ll save a ton at the huge clearance sales. Plus, you’ll be all ready for Christmas next year with “new” wreaths!

I love Indian food! We get take out from our favorite Indian restaurant at least once per month. Amber from The Hungry Mountaineer shared her recipe for South Indian Tamarind Eggplant Curry, and it looks so good!

I haven’t made a quilt in years, but this tutorial for quilted star ornaments brought me back to when I learned to quilt. Helen from Hello Sewing shared these lovely ornaments with excellent instructions. I may need to make at least one this year!

Leanna from Pretty DIY Home shared a home tour featuring her foyer, mantel, and two Christmas trees. I’m loving this neutral farmhouse tree. Her living room looks so cozy – especially with her cute dog in the room!

This botanical Christmas tablescape from Rita of Panoply is so sophisticated and unique! I love the twig runner and the centerpiece with a lantern and magnolia leaves. But the star of the table are those floral tartan plaid plates! Check out Rita’s blog to see all of the different plate designs.

Who doesn’t love the Peanuts? I’m planning to watch the Charlie Brown Christmas Special with my daughter this week. Donna from Modern on Monticello created a Peanuts themed Christmas tree, complete with the cutest DIY comic strip ribbon garland!

The most clicked link of the week is from Niky of The House on Silverado. She shared her Starbucks copycat gingerbread loaf. Look at that cream cheese frosting…I can almost taste this yummy treat looking at that photo!
