Celebrate Your Story! #234

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Welcome back, friends.  I had to step away from social media this week.  I don’t usually discuss politics on my blog, but I can’t stay silent right now.  I’m sad and angry.  I know that I’ll never feel what it’s like to be treated unfairly because of my skin color, because white privilege is real.  I can only take some comfort in that we have an election coming up soon.  We can vote for those who support civil rights, affordable healthcare and who legislate fair and just laws.

I hope you’re all staying well and taking care of your emotional health.  This blog is my therapy, and I thank you all for coming to this party and sharing your lovely posts here.

Now, let’s take a look at this week’s features.

Sandra from Dinner at Eight was inspired by blue skies to create this pretty Spring into Summer tablescape.  Those bird plates are darling.  And I love her mosaic table!

You’ve got to see how Carrie from The French Blue Cottage made over this dated ceiling fan in her craft room. The transformation is amazing. Now she has a functional ceiling fan that is also stylish!

No green thumb? No problem! Chas from Chas’ Crazy Creations will show you how to create a “flower” garden from thrift store dishware. You won’t believe how easy these are to make!

The lake views at Paula of Sweet Pea’s lakeside cottage are breathtaking! She has her outdoor patio decorated for summer, and it looks so cozy and inviting. It’s the perfect summer retreat!

I’m just loving how Karin from Karin’s Cottage created a festive tablescape under a tree for her grandkids. My daughter would love this! The drinking glasses with the gingham lids and straws are too cute!

I want to pull up a chair at Kristin from White Arrow Home’s summer porch! That vintage water ski on the wall is so cool. I love the blue and white textiles, too.

The most clicked link of the week is from Jenna of The Painted Apron. She got crafty and gave some glassware a coastal makeover. You’ve got to go over and check out her bling box!

  3. So well said Rebecca! My son, who lives in historic, downtown Philly, has been one of those peaceful demonstrators — but wearing a mask and carrying hand sanitizer. Still, I worry about a new spike in virus cases, just as our state has really turned things around. I’m also sad that now he can’t come home for a visit now for at least two weeks.

  4. Thanks so much Rebecca! I am thrilled to see my glassware was most clicked! I linked up a tablescape using it today~ I hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for keeping the party going…
