Sequin Craft Glam Pumpkins DIY
Create your own glam pumpkins using supplies from Dollar Tree. This simple sequin craft will be a lovely addition to your Fall decor!
My blogger friends and I are back for another collaboration. This time, we’re all crafting with pumpkins! Be sure to check out their projects at the end of this post.
Jeweled Pumpkins Inspiration
I got the idea to make sequin pumpkins after I found packets of sequins at Dollar Tree in ombre fall colors. I love to decorate with sequins, so I decided to make bling pumpkins!
Sequin Craft Pumpkin Supply List
- foam pumpkin
- sequins in fall colors
- hot glue gun and glue sticks
- tweezers
How to Make Sequin Craft Pumpkins
Step 1 – Set up Work Space
Arrange the sequins in the color order that you plan to glue them to the pumpkin. I put mine in an artists paint tray (that I also found at Dollar Tree).
Step 2 – Glue Sequins to Pumpkin
Starting at the top, hot glue a circle of the first color of sequins around the base of the stem. Use the tweezers to place the sequins onto the hot glue. The sequins will be easier to pick up and you’ll avoid burning your fingers. Continue with a second row of sequins, also in the same color.
Step 3 – Vary the Colors of Sequins
Start a third row of sequins with a new color. Complete another two rows with the second color. Then proceed with another two rows and a new color.
Step 4 – Complete the Sequin Craft Pumpkin
Keep gluing two rows of each color until you reach the last color. At this time you can stop like I did or keep going to completely cover the pumpkin. I love how the sequins look against my shiny orange pumpkin.
If you decide to cover the pumpkin, instead of starting over with the top color of sequins, reverse the order of the sequins going down. This will give it a nice graduated effect.
Isn’t it pretty? I’m going to create a fall glam look this year with my decor!
