Celebrate Your Story! #286

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Hey friends! Sorry I’m late to the party. I had a terrible headache all day yesterday. I hope you’re all doing well and having a good week so far. We’re winding down the school year here…tonight is my niece’s high school graduation and my daughter’s last day of school is tomorrow. I need to get our beach passes! It’s also time to go through the summer clothes and see what still fits and what needs to be replaced. I know my daughter needs a new swimsuit. It’s crazy how time zips by!

Here’s my latest post:

Now, let’s check out this week’s features!

Rachelle from My Hubbard Home shared a tour of her lovely summer bedroom. I love her new yellow and gray bed linens. The room looks so bright and cheerful!

I’m intrigued with these DIY sponges from Wendy of My French Twist. She made them with fabric scraps and the mesh bags that produce are packaged in that usually wind up in the trash! The sponges are machine washable and more eco-friendly than the polyurethane foam kitchen sponges.

Did you know that grocery store roses can be propagated to produce new rose plants? I didn’t until I read Juliet from A Loverly Life‘s great tutorial. I’m definitely going to try this the next time I have a bouquet of roses!

I usually make salmon with pesto sauce, but now I want to try this recipe with oyster sauce instead! Julie from Julie’s Creative Lifestyle shared her simple recipe. She also has a great tip about buying salmon at Costco.

Niki from The House on Silverado gave this garden bench the cutest makeover! She made the stencils with her Cricut, and shared some great stenciling tips. You’ve got to see how it looked before!

Have you ever run across an empty silverware case at a tag sale? Ann from The Apple Street Cottage has the perfect project to upcycle one…a jewelry box! This turned out amazing and the fabric she chose is fabulous!

The most clicked link of the week is from Debbie of Debbie Dabble Blog. She shared a tour of her late spring patio and cottage garden. I love this yellow birdcage planter. There are just so many great ways to decorate with birdcages!
