Celebrate Your Story! #246

Celebrate Your Story! Link Party

Greetings everyone! I survived my first day of virtual schooling. Of course, there were some computer glitches, but that’s to be expected. My daughter has been a lot more resilient than I’ve been through all of this. She was excited for her “first day of school”, and she enjoyed seeing her friends on the screen. And that’s how it’s going to go for now…

Here’s what I was up to last week:

How to Make Decorative Twig Balls
Spooky DIY Halloween Decorations

Now, on with the party!

Shelley from Calypso in the Country shared her beautiful early fall decor. She combines her signature navy color scheme with green apples, green hydrangeas and galvanized containers. Just lovely!

Have you heard of lotion bars? Megan from Simply Rooted Farmhouse shared her recipe for all natural lotion bars, which are not soap but rather bars of lotion. My hands are so dry from frequent hand washing…this looks like the perfect remedy!

Who doesn’t love an IKEA hack? Hannah from Home Made Weekly made this cool wooden box to store her IKEA Rejsa boxes. It’s now a hip small parts organizer that keeps her nails, nuts, washers and screws organized!

This is the easiest muffin recipe ever…just two ingredients! Chas from Chas’ Crazy Creations shared her recipe for pumpkin spice muffins just in time for fall. These will be perfect with my afternoon coffee!

I just love looking at wedding photos…the happy couple, decor, food, flowers, the dress, cake, etc. Libbie from A Life Unfolding shared some gorgeous photos from her daughter’s lakeside outdoor wedding last summer. I’m loving the bride and groom’s table!

Carol from Bluesky at Home crafted these adorable fall yard signs from Dollar Tree wood signs. I love how she hung them on a bamboo plant support. Visit her blog to learn how to make your own!

The most clicked link of the week is this handsome fall embroidery hoop wreath from Kippi of Kippi at Home. I love that brown plaid paired with the orange and white buffalo check ribbon. This design will last right up through Thanksgiving!

If you’ve been featured this week or any other time at CYS, please feel free to grab a button to post on your blog!

  1. Teaching by Distance Learning kinda sucks but I have not been cussed out and no fights in the classroom (I am a SPED teacher who teaches inner-city emotionally distrubed middle school students) but I kind of miss the excitement of the classroom.

Thanks for hosting and I hope that you have a wonderful week.

  5. Rebecca, I am beginning to get motivated with my own Fall decor. I try not to get absorbed in blogs on the subject until I am there myself, but I am loving seeing it all starting now with the flip of the page of the calendar. Happy September, and thank you for hosting the creative juice machine. 😉

    1. I hear you, Rita! It feels a little strange to start my fall decor in August when it’s 90 degrees outside, but that’s the #bloggerlife lol! But now that September is here it feels more natural. Thanks for coming to the party, my friend!

  6. Thank you so much for featuring my early fall decor – and thank you for saying I have a “signature navy color scheme”! I love to be known for that! All the features are beautiful and I look forward to checking out a bunch of projects. Thanks for hosting!
